BugBiome discovers, selects, and formulates naturally occurring microbes that influence pest behavior and fitness at the crop interface. Rather than killing indiscriminately, BugBiome’s strains (or tuned consortia) disrupt pest pressure—for example by reducing attraction, feeding, or oviposition—while maintaining the beneficial insect communities that underpin resilient agronomy.

The platform couples targeted sampling of plant and insect microbiomes with high-throughput lab and semi-field assays to down-select candidates for field-relevant efficacy and formulation stability. Lead microbes are advanced into practical, grower-friendly products designed to integrate into existing programs and support resistance management. Because BugBiome works with native, non-GMO microorganisms, products are built for a regulatory-friendly path and for compatibility with integrated pest management, helping reduce chemical load without sacrificing performance.
